Crizer Construction started into the renewable sector in 2010. We originally installed small scale wind turbines on top of a handful of businesses locally, however after an initial testing phase we concluded that solar was a better answer for most locations. The price of solar equipment has steadily decreased over the past decade. We see solar as a way for home/business owners to eliminate their power bill. Many companies offer leasing options, locking in a price on your bill for the next 10+ years, however the best return on your investment is to own the system outright. Solar panels are rated for 25 years, and will often last for 30 years! By owning your system outright, you ensure that all of the power your home is producing goes directly to your wallet. Once you install a solar system, your power bill for the year should as close to zero as possible. Yes, you will bear the upfront cost of installing the system, but if you plan on living in your home for 5 or more years, it makes sense to invest in energy. Your system will pay for itself in savings between 5-8 years after installation, that means that for the remaining 20+ years your system is producing, you are in the green!
